Points out that an operating room needs ventilation, purified ventilation and air conditioning. Purification standards and measures should be determined according to the hygienic standard of operating rooms. It is not cost efficient to adopt the traditional comprehensive laminar flow in a 100 level clean operating room. Recommends using the local top centralized air supply with low turbulence intensity displacement flow. The cleanliness goal of 100 level in the operating zone and 1 000 level in the surrounding area can be achieved if the supply air outlet is arranged on the top of the operating table and its area is expanded to 1/10 to 1/8 of the operating room area. Analyses in detail the characteristics, parameters, economics and measured effectiveness of the air supply method.
